Activities
We follow the Ohio Department of Education Curriculum which contains four content areas: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Skills.
Each week, we have a different theme, covering each of the four content areas. For example, for a week with the theme of "apples" we would do the following projects and activities:
Science: We will cut open the apple to explore the core and then make applesauce to see how the apple goes from crisp to soft.
Math: We will take out the seeds and count them, then glue them onto paper.
Language Arts: We will practice writing the letter "A" and write a story about apples.
Social Skills: We will talk about apples together, learn about Johnny Appleseed, play "store" taking turns being customers and cashiers.
We will also sing songs and read stories related to our theme for the week.
