Parent Testimonials

"We love the staff at St. John's. They truly care for our daughter and provide a happy, fun, and educational environment. Our daughter always talks about her teachers and classmates with a smile. Thank you St. John's"

"You guys are fabulous! We are kept up to date on daily activities and any concerns with regard to our child and the children at the center. The care you all show is exceptional!"

-Parent of a 2 1/2 year old girl

"It has only been a few weeks but I feel that I can say that I feel comfortable with the decision we made to bring our daughter to St. John's. All the teachers have been wonderful and caring. This can be seen when she is upset in the morning and they don't seem annoyed. I also love that in the morning they would rather talk to my daughter than to me. (Which is the way I like it!) She has learned a lot in a short time. Thanks for all you do and that I don't have to worry while I am at work!"

-Parent of a 3 year old girl

"While it has only bee a few weeks, Emily has been wonderful! She has worked with us to get a schedule together. I guess the best compliment I can say is that I feel comfortable leaving my daughter in her hands and that I don't have to worry about her while I am at work."

-Parent of a 10 month old girl

"We have been very pleased with Rosa (0-6mons. teacher)!!! It seems that she genuinely cares for our baby girl. She comes home happy everyday and we know that she is in good hands, which is so refreshing especially since we are first time parents!"

-Parents of a 3 month old baby girl

"My son's teachers spend a great deal of time in preparing an interesting curriculum. He always comes home knowing something new and he doesn't want to leave at the end of the day!"

-Mother of a 3 year old boy

"As a prosecuting attorney, I am the first to admit that I am quite jaded about the dangers of the world. So, when I was expecting my first baby, safety was #1 on my list of expectations for child care. In consulting with colleagues, I was told time-after-time, "If you live on the west-side of town, you HAVE to take your baby to St. John's" This was five years and a second baby ago...now, St. John's is like family to us. While I am at work, often on cases involving child victims, I take comfort knowing that my children  are happily at St. John's learning lots, well-cared for, and SAFE."

-Mother of 5 and 3 year old students

"As a Kindergarten teacher myself, I think I have higher (or at least different) expectations for a daycare/preschool program. In our 2 years at St. John's I have continually been impressed with their quality staff. Now that Lucy is upstairs in more of a preschool setting I continue to be more impressed. Miss Pam has gone beyond me expectations. She has taught Lucy several academic skills that I wanted her to learn acquire before beginning Kindergarten. I have been impressed with Miss Pam's ability to teach 2 and 2 1/2 year olds academic skills that are necessary for their future success in school. Her creative approach really inspires my daughter and teaches her to love learning. Plus I love all of the glittery art projects that come home! Miss Pam has taught Lucy days of the week, months, counting, counting objects with one-to-one correspondence, and letters. The day Lucy recited days of the week in the car, I was so impressed! One night before bed she told me it was October! I was so happy that she was learning at school! Currently, she has been learning what letter each friend's name starts with! Miss Pam has taught Lucy skills that some of my Kindergartners don't have at the beginning of the year! In addition to academics, Pam has also done an excellent job potty training our little girl. She's also given us advice on potty training which we really appreciated since this was our first time potty training! What I have found most impressive however are the important social and emotional skills that Pam is teaching the children. This year Lucy has learned to cough/sneeze into her arm. She likes to teach this to other people. She has also learned how to sit on the carpet and pay attention during carpet time, clean up, and most importantly manners and a positive attitude. I can tell by what Lucy says at home that Pam talks to the children respectfully and politely. Lucy's manners have improved since being in Pam's class. Lucy love getting "Super Stamps" from Pam! She pretends to give the to herself and to her animals and dolls at home. She always  tells them "Great Job! You get a Super Stamp!" in a very upbeat voice. She also tells her dolls and animals that she is proud of them. I am sure that's what Pam says at school too. Pam's positive reinforcement really works well for Lucy. I am impressed that Pam also sets reasonable limits for the children and is not afraid to give them a time-out for unacceptable behavior. I really feel that Lucy will be well-prepared socially, academically, and emotionally for school. This is largely thanks to Miss Pam!"
